What is the best hawaiian island to go to for a secluded, romantic honeymoon?

We got free tickets from my boss to Oahu, but we want to jump over to a smaller, more secluded and romantic island <3

Kauai. It is the most romantic and doesn’t have high rise condo’s like Oahu. Nothing can be built on that island taller than a palm tree. There is even a place called ferm grotto where lots of people get married. It is soo beautiful. The only drawback that I can think of is you’ll need to rent a car there to get around. Lots of movies and tv shows are filmed on Kauai too.

Aloha, there are still quite a few nice places to go on O’ahu. For instance, the JW Marriott at Ko’olina is way out on the west side of O’ahu and its a very romantic property.

If you really want to get away from the concrete jungles of O’ahu and avoid the tourist nature of Maui, go to Lanai and stay at the Koele lodge. Lanai is a small island and sparslely populated. There’s really not a lot to do, but you can play golf, go four wheeling, shoot skeet, or go hiking.

Princeville Resort on Kauai is overlooking Hanalei Bay is another romantic spot away from everything. This is a luxury resort, but I think its an even better value than heading over to Lanai. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to go to the spa, play golf, or just enjoy the slow pace of the local community.

You could also head over to Hilo on the Big Island, but I’d recommend find a nice B&B over one of the hotels. The hotels are a little older, but are good places to crash if you spend most of your time exploring the island…and it is a Big Island.

Kauai is good…..or even Molokai if you’re truly looking for a place with nothing to do after 7 pm but cuddle up under the stars.

If you don’t want to spend the money on the extra flights to the neighbor islands, Turtle Bay Resort or Koolina is great at providing a romantic atmosphere without the touristy pace of Waikiki.

    Good luck and congratulations!

Nice Boss! There is a site called hulagirlstravel.com, check them out, they have an article on island hopping. They also have tons of info on things to do in Hawaii, even honeymoon registry!

The best place for seclusion is Molokai miles of deserted beaches, I spent my honey there, it was wonderful. we found a house cheap on the beach 100 bucks a night, during that stay we never got dressed only to go to the store or restaurant, my daughter was conceived on the beach where we stayed. forget Turtle bay unless you want to spend 400 bucks plus for a night.
