My fiance and I are getting married in April of ‘09. We are paying for our own wedding and making a big move 2 months later. So we wanted to go on our honeymoon in August-September, maybe October, but we won’t have a lot of money saved up. We want to go somewhere tropical from 4-7 days for around $3,000. Does anyone have some suggestions? I want somewhere on the beach… Romantic and Tropical. Somewhere I need a passport to go to! LOL. Thanks!

You should try Cancun. Anywhere on the beaches of Mexico will be supercheap and tourist friendly.
First off, congratulations! Second there are a ton of places to go for your honeymoon and for your money a package deal sounds good. Find an all inclusive resort that has package deals.
One thing to think about is that August and September are HURRICANE season in the tropics. Do your homework on where you really want to go.

One place to go you wouldn’t need a passport (assuming you live in the US) is Hawaii and it is also tropical (and not so prone to hurricanes and tropical storms as the Carribean)
